I agree with him.

Hence the suspected trolling.

In all seriousness, the standing on the side of the street is outside of his jurisdiction IMO. Her 30 days and small change fine should have been increased. That said losing your license for 30 days is a hell of a headache to go through.

As long as the judge wears a sign that says "I'm a retard that doesn't know the law" when hearing cases from now on

I agree... he should've stuck with traditional sentencing. Stuff like sign holding opens too many avenues for future judicial abuse.

Good. I hate people like this. Yeah, I'm calling you out if you're one of those people on I-85 North at 4:30-5:30 rush hour traffic that waits to the very, very end of the lane you know is ending in 1 mile to get out, pretty much slowing down traffic for EVERYONE else. I'm tired of people that won't wait in line like everyone else and get over immediately when a spot opens. For the record, I don't let them over, I've almost hit cars by not letting them get over, they can wait like everyone else.

As a middle/highschool bus driver i hate it when people ignore the stop sign. I worry about the kids safety.

This is the justice system, not shaming your 4 year old child.

Embarrassing.

People often forget the unusual part of cruel and unusual punishment. The judge has no authority to do this.

The Supreme Court would probably disagree.

Besides, is it cruel and unusual? Unusual yes, but since its limited in duration, its not considered cruel. Cruel and unusual seems to indicate it has to be both. Come to think of it, this style of punishment is not really all that unusual these days.

Not that bad honestly......just don't get pulled over for doing stupid poo like, you know, passing a school bus on the sidewalk and you'll never be able to tell that you don't really have a license.

Yeah if I lost my license for 30 days it would have almost 0 effect on my driving habits for the month. I've been pulled over a grand total of 0 times in my life.
