Is it worth a few flags to get in an extra knockdown or three against Manning just to remind his body how it feels? I'm not saying blatantly helmet to helmet or hurt him, but just a few legit knock downs....maybe a bit late.

No it's not worth 15 yards and automatic first downs against one the best QB's of all time. Our defense will have to fight every single down... Dumb plays simply can not happen if we are to win this game

yes, absolutely. speeding that clock up in his head will ultimately force incompletions and mess up the rhythm of their offense, which is certainly worth a flag or two for overly-zealous play.

The Denver tackles haven't allowed a pressure in 3 games., as well as the least sacks in the league. Hard to expect them to give up more than one hit. if any, to the panthers.

Nothing TOO crazy. I don't mind eating a flag or two. Just NEVER on 3rd down. If we hold them, I don't want us to keep them on the field with a stupid penalty like that. But, if we can't get the 3 and out, then on the next pass attempt, i see no reason why we don't stick after him and see if we can't get a hit. We gotta rattle him. That's hard enough to do as is, but if we can instill a LITTLE fear and distrust between him and his OL, then that plays into our favor.

Peyton Manning gets the ball out quick. So any late hit is going to be quite blatant unless we're getting pressure that fast. So no, I'd rather not try and make a "statement" if it leads to a flag. We're still not a great team thus have to avoid any and all self-inflicted mistakes.

And, after that hit Peyton took against the Saints the other week, I think he'll be just fine body wise even if we try and lay in a couple of more shots.

If it's there take the shot as any defense would. Don't do it where we get flagged. We can't be shooting ourselves in the foot on purpose. We do enough without meaning to lol. I'll bet there will be less blitzing actually. That's not the way to attack Manning, he'll eat us alive. Hoping Kuechly digests Manning tape like it's cotton candy and turns into a Dan Morgan-like LB for the game. Dan was the man when playing Peyton.

Hit him like you could any QB. Do not intentionally hit anyone knowing you will get flagged for it. Going for an illegal hit is stupid. Knocking a qb out is part if the game.
