I doubt that is something you'd admit to just to escape a political situation...
Usually, they try to sweep that kind of thing under the rug, so for him to admit it, I'd say it is legit.

No way, totally out of the question. It's unthinkable that a General who has had ultimate power over thousands of people for several decades could feel like he could get away with something like that.
It has to be a conspiracy. Because there's just no way Patraeus could simply say "I want to resign" like Hillary and the other 5 or so cabinet members did.

Patraeus wasn't towing the party line regarding Benghazi and someone had this information I bet.
Maybe Patraeus' wife should run for Senate of New York. She's earned it.

I can't believe Petreaus was having an affair and was caught! Thats so out of the realm of possibility!
I can totally believe the he made up hes having an affair to cover up Obama wanting mericans to die while he watches smugly in his cozy situation room before he campaigns!
