The Old Man played his ass off tonight but it wsn't quite enough. Looks to be an interesting 51 games remaining in the Regular Season.

If the Lakers gave the same effort on defense throughout the game that they gave during the fourth quarter most of their games wouldn't be close. This team has to figure out how to play on both sides of the floor, and learn that good defense leads to easy transition offense....

Pau Gasol is freakin useless.

Pau Gasol has regressed so much this season. I'm not sure what it is either. In the Olympics he was straight dominating the best the world had to offer (although he was always in the post for the most part) and now he doesn't even look like a player that deserves a single minute. I don't know if he is somehow gassed from the Olympic run and having to carry that team, if his injury is more serious than he is letting on, if he's somehow regressed from a dominant player to a scrub in just a matter of a few months (not likely), or he isn't being utilized correct by D'Antoni (and before someone comes on here and says Kobe is making Gasol worst -- just no... he doesn't control the offense). It could be a bit of everything. Personally I think that it is a little bit of everything, because he has absolutely zero lift right now, very little strength (not that he was ever really strong by NBA standards) and just always looks gassed. To top it all off he is NEVER in the low post and that is where he belongs. Until we figure something out we are just going to be hurt by Pau's EXTREMELY inconsistent offense, and very poor defense.

Gasol.......first it was the Playoff collapse because of a girl friend issue.
Now this, some speculate he's sucking so he is un-tradable and remains in LA.

Whatever, he needs to be traded for whatever the Lakers can acquire in exchange.

Mind you Kobe won Championships with this bone head.

You Laker fans should be more appreciative of Pau Gasol. You would'ntve won those last 2 chips without him. It's tough for any big man to thrive playing next to you know who.

Yeah, I'd imagine that as a big it'd be tough playing next to Nash since he likes to spread the ball around and in antoni's system it is usually spread around on the outside.

Lakers should trade Dwight to Dallas for Dirk + a backup

Moves Gasol to the low post, provides much better court spacing. Just commit to the 2 year title window and forget about trying to rebuild around Dwight later.
