PLAX would have been perfect but of course nobody wanted him.

Primary issue here is Cam's short accuracy and confidence more so than having a "large" target in the end zone. Newton is scared to throw in the end zone, and teams have noticed that and just force him to throw it and play the run all the way, and we still don't get passing touchdowns inside the red zone.

No knocking Cam, but it is the truth.

Greg Olsen is the same height as Plaxico.

there is not a way to sugar coat the stats - Cam sucks in the red zone - he has plenty of targets - its his accuracy and ability to read the defense that is lacking

Cam isn't great in the red zone but our play calling sucks down there. We only run well down there and even that leaves a lot to be desired at times and not to mention predictable.

We also haven't had those long TD bombs unlike last season as teams has focused on stopping that.

We need a WR red zone target but I would LOVE to see a play action, back shoulder throw called to Smitty or maybe Lafell. We also have Olsen who we don't use well enough down there.

It seems to me that anytime we are inside the five, we never run it. So it is not for a lack of trying.

We absolutely must get Cam a good red zone target.

If anything, it's Chud's fault for not letting Cam pass in the redzone until other teams figured out that we only run in the redzone. Cam needs more experience with this aspect of the game and Chud wasn't doing him any favors. Now that we are implementing passing in the redzone, Cam clearly isn't prepared to handle the task.
