You might be right if it was just outside pressure. Then yes, Cam should have stepped up and made the throw. But like I've always said, interior protection > exterior. A QB has to have a pocket to step up into. Cam has had no pocket all game long. He had no chance to step up and make that pass to either one of them. Our OL has been horrific all year long.
But yeah, lets blame Cam.

WR's fault. Definitely.
Okay. They got open on one play......late in a game that a QB has been hit all game long bc of the OL not protecting and them not getting open.
That is pretty much the equivalent on Newton throwing a garbage pass for a TD late in the game and acting like he has played great all game bc of it.
But Cam looked to shut it down on that safety......I would endorse benching him on that. qB can't quit no matter how bad everyone else is (coaches and line)
