No doubt about it, we should now tank for a good draft pick.

Mante Tao the LB from ND would create the best LB's in the NFL.

MLB-Tao
WLB-Kuchely
SLB-Beason
Sub LB-Davis

Yes, because we need to replace a great, proven James Anderson with a potentially great but unproven Manti rather than addressing the real needs. Makes sense.

Too many people here have never played any kind of sports outside of Madden or Fantasy football. You should never "want" to lose, for anything. That's a pathetic way to look at it.

Tanking the season will only make it harder for our young players to learn. No thanks.

Where is the pride in tanking the season? These guys are grown men and I'm sure they would prefer to win every game here on out. If there are any players, or coaches who have that mentality of tanking the season on a position in the dragt, I don't want them on this team

Tank? If this is us trying, I don't think I could stomach tanking.

To be clear, nobody ever actually does this.

They'd be endangering their jobs if they did.

Right, because we saw how well "finishing strong" last season carried over into this season. Last year people said the same exact thing you said and I jumped on the "better to finish strong than get a good draft position" bandwagon because I was convinced it would carry over this season.. But as the saying goes. Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice cant get fooled again.

I can't think of a player we could draft that would outweigh the mental costs of tanking the remainder of a season.

Our utter failure this season has a lot more to do with our coaching staff than our players themselves. Whenever this many pieces of a team regress it starts higher up the chain.

It remains true that the players need to go out there and bust ass - win or lose. Taking the rest of the season off would be foolish.

You think it's bad with bad coaches and players that are trying try bad coaching AND players who suddenly aren't even attempting to give a fug.
