There were lots of open receivers today well within 3 seconds. Cam is very slow in his progressions, needs faster decision making.

A three step drop would be nice. Tired of 5-7 step drops.

I counted five open receivers all game.

Apparently Phil Simms does as well.

Edit: there's a nice unintended joke there.

WRs can be running all over the field wide open, but if there's pressure in the face of the QB it won't matter.

I think it's obvious cam is not ready to bear the load of this offense. We haven't put him in a good position with our schemes and play calling. Put it on the 3 RBs

this.

just because a guy isn't wide open, doesn't mean he isn't open.

most of the time, one on one is just as good as being open.

A legit blocking fullback would be nice. A Lorenzo Neal type player

12 inches of separation is open with a solid QB throwing.

Them being open after the play is over doesn't count. And 90% of fans have no idea what an open receiver looks like, they just think if the defender isn't riding them like a horse they're open. Our offense forces Cam to sit on his reads because the routes take forever to develop.

Ball cant come out quicker when EVERY route takes 4 seconds to develop. Ever heard of a route tree chud?

Fools don't understand this nor do they understand that Peyton has a very good OL. poo they were good at pass blocking last year. How many times today did Peyton get pressure up the middle from the defensive line? Most of the time his pocket was clean as hell.

Most of the time the ball was out within 2 seconds.

He took much less time than Cam had.

Haha. The announcers made a point of showing how well our WRs were covered about three different times during the broadcast. But no, open as poo, all game, stupid Cam.

You guys know Gettis doesn't count as being open when he's standing behind Rivera all game, right?

then cam should learn to take advantage of the quick dump offs to his rbs after 2 seconds instead of waiting 4 seconds to find out nothing is open downfield.

Like hell it is. Just because Aaron Rodgers can make those passes once or twice a game doesn't mean that is the kind of scheme you live on. Look at the Saints or Patriots offenses. They're designed on either isolating all-world talents like Graham and Gronk, or getting someone else like Welker or Sproles running in space. They don't attempt a hundred seam-splitting throws a game, that's a recipe for disaster. This offense doesn't have an overwhelming physical specimen and completely misuses its receivers in space. It should be a hard-running play action offense and the fact that its not shows how stupid the coaching staff is.

profootballfocus clocks manning averaging 2.51 seconds from the snap of the ball to release.
