Great day receiving for Olsen and I love the guy. But he was getting abused, manhandled raped, beaten, etc. by Von Miller today. We need to get another Gronkowski. Our offense is suffering with the loss of Shockey. This draft we have a lot of avenues to consider going down with that first pick.

Miller would abuse most TE's, he should never take on a premier pass rusher like that. I don't fault Olsen at all, he's never been known for his blocking.

Yep, Olsen is a receiving TE. We knew that when we brought him here. You can't blame the round peg for not fitting the square hole.

Are there any TE's in this coming draft worth taking in the first round? Also yes I'm dead serious.

Yes, the 6' 6" kid from ND, could get him in the early second.

Olsen has actually improved his blocking quite a bit this season. He's had quite a few plays that he springs big runs by taking the backer or safety completely out of the play.

That being said today was rough for him. But without us knowing the blocking scheme I think it would be rather difficult for any of us to sit here and blast him.

There is no way he should ever be put one on one with one of the premiere pass rushers and overall defensive players in this league like Miller. I wonder if he weren't meant to help or chip and it was Bell's responsibility (he was benched late after all.) One thing is for certain is that the Broncos knew we were weak up the middle and they abused the trio of Hangman, Byers and Amini all game. Just a rough week :/

If Olsen can't block then don't ask him to...there are two other tes on this team and a fullback. Use them.

You know the old cliche about if you can't say anything nice...?

Olsen is a better blocker than Barnidge. That's all I've got.

ND and UCLA kids both look like good TE prospects
