that was all with Hurney.. i hate using the term "gut feeling" but that applies exactly to how i think there will be MASSIVE changes in personnel and personality after this season and going forward.

and on another topic isn't it funny how Rivera said he was trying to establish a one man running game and make Stewart the full feature back going forward but somehow ever since he said that its been dwill getting more carries a game and jstew getting less and less? Get him outta here

If our offense would not have regressed we would not be having this conversation.We would be a pretty good the team given the talent level at certain positions.

Not during the season that would be pointless, fire after season on black Monday. A good HC brings a certain culture to the team, not RR

I voted give him till the end of the season. However he should be forced to fire Chud now, and hand the offense over to Shula for the remaining games.

And here's why: This situation is stuck between a rock and a hard place. He knows he's probably gone, his devotion to this team beyond 7 weeks from now is fickle at best. Firing Hurney put Rivera in panic mode because chances are a new GM will want a new HC.

Rivera seems to be a baby steps, 'everything in good time' type character stuck in a 'produce now or else' scenario. Now he's just treading water trying his damnedest to keep afloat and that never leads to the most rational decision making. Just put him out of his misery and let's have someone else take over.

The best way to find out what the issue is is to isolate the problem. If Rivera truly will be gone after this season, then get someone else to replace him now. If you see a shift toward the better after that, you've found the issue. If we still suck, maybe you realize it's the team that needs blowing up (or the interim coach is equally inept, in that case I've got nothing. But I'm inclined to think we have the talent, it's the coaching that's the issue.)

This actually makes a bit of sense. First argument for firing him now versus the end of the season that's made me stop and think, that's not a bad point at all.
