I admire what they are trying to do with total QBR but it is a flawed stat. But I think it is a good base to try and approve on and move away from just QB rating.

For instance, I believe Steve Smith had a drop on third down and long yesterday, that severely hurts your QBR.

Also, if you make a great read on the defense and get the ball to a guy who is open ten yards down field and then he takes off for a big gain, that is graded significantly lower than chucking a ball 40 yards down field into double coverage and the WR making the play simply because the ball traveled farther down the field.

Despite all that it still is skewed to west coast offenses and dink and dunk offenses which is one of the things it was trying to correct.

Just for some perspective, here are two games compared using QBR from PFT.

Aarron Rodgers
26 of 39
396 yards
2 TDs
QBR 82.1.

Tim Tebow
4 of 10
79 yards
1 TD
1 Rushing TD
QBR 83.2.
[/quote]link to each game please

I think the QBR in that game log leaves out rushing stats.

They changed their statistic formula, after the fact. It's a constantly fluid algorithm, hence the worthless value as a statistic.

If you actually payed attention to football and statistics you would remember the stink this arose last year - the first year they unveiled the statistic.

WTF. That's hilarious. How the fug are you supposed to use any statistic, where the criteria for measuring the statistic is constantly in flux. That's just dildos.

Qbr is actually a much better indicator of the quarterbacks play than quarterback rating

According to ESPN. They are the only folks that give a poo about QBR.

Better than Mark Sanchez at least.

If you set it to show the unqualified players, DeAngelo Williams in the wildcat is a superior QB than Brady Quinn and Chad Henne.

Ouch.
