if freedom is bullshit to you, then perhaps you aren't paying attention

That'll look great on a bumper sticker. Still waiting on substance.

I think you take a lot for granted, and thinking you know what really is going on in people's minds is quite arrogant.

You have just defined the young liberal quite succinctly

I really do think this "movement" is hilarious.

I'm all for our constitutional rights above all else, that being said, seceding from the country would put you in a much more dangerous and unfavorable position. Why do it? Even Texas' Gov. Rick Perry pretty much said it was stupid. Because it is.

Secondly, how can anyone take it seriously?

In the original secessions here, no one politely signed their name on a piece of paper and asked if the President would consider their secession, lol. It's actually sad that if those people feel that strongly about it yet, they're that pathetic to call it a "movement." Lazy and uninspired. And obviously, not well thought out, just an empty gesture by not very intelligent people.

Perhaps they just feel the need to make a statement, but not an outward protest or demonstration a la OWS.

Well they certainly made a statement.

Probably not the one they intended, though.
