We held them to 16 points the first game....and our defense has only gotten better since that game....I just hope we can score some god damn points
Don't quote me on this but I think their offense has only gotten better as well

our offense needs to put up points fast so the pass rush can do its work.

Stop the run. Make Freeman beat you.

While stopping the run is always a good thing since the bye week Freeman has been one of the best QB's in the league. They put up 30+ points last week with Freeman only completing 14 passes.
Stop the run. Make Freeman beat you.
In the last 5 games Freemans QB rating has been 125, 115, 104, 109, and 138. He has also thrown for 1487 yards and has 13 TD's to 1 interception in that same 5 game span.
He only completed 14 passes last week but he only attempted 20 for a 70% completion rate. Those 14 went for 210 yards and 2 TD's
If you sell out to stop the run, Freeman can consistently beat you through the air.

Freeman has played very well, and I was not intending any kind of slight whatsoever. I'm sure you'll agree that it's rare for a team to score 34 or 35 points with a QB only completing 14 passes, no matter how efficient they are. Generally, it takes a couple of defensive scores or a killer run game to roll up the score like that without a 300 yd plus game from the QB.
In our case, we have to try to pick our poison. Since Kuechly went in at MLB, we have done a good job controlling good runners, so if I'm the DC, that is what I focus on shutting down first. If we don't stop the run, it takes our pass rush out of the equation and we need that right now to win.
I love the way your team is playing but hope we can find a way to stop you guys at least for one week.

Six of us are travelling up from Tampa for the game Sunday. Can any of you suggest a good place to tailgate around the stadium? We've never been to Bank of America Stadium, but the facility and the surroundings look incredible. I'm not here to talk smack..just looking for a good place to grill out and have a few beers with fellow NFL fans. Please reply or email me at LawJock@aol.com. Thanks!

Let me know where you are so I can egg you and your ride while wearing my white 89 jersey and ski mask
