Does anyone know why we drafted this guy so early as a second round pick? I may be wrong but I remember Hurney and Rivera saying that they "discovered" him which leads you to believe that they could have maybe got him in a later round or possible free agent.

holy poo, can we give rookies time to develop, its not his fault he was made a starter right away because of how poor the oline is. hes not doing a bad job. needs to stop the penalties though.

So many fugging terrible posters. so many fugging amini silatolu haters.

The niners were pissed they didn't take him in the first. The Steelers said if DeCastro wasn't there they would go Amini.

OP- the internet is your friend. Search Amini's draft profile or did you just have to make stuff up to get a thread started?

A lot of guys wanted to cast Bell aside last year and even during this offseason.

Bell has got better and better, yeah he had a bad game vs the broncos, but people act like the Broncos dont have a feared pass rush..

Amini will get better in time, just like Cam and Luke.

Patience is a virtue.

Lol it's funny how I said I didn't know any info on him I was looking for the reasoning which could have been given without the sarcasm. I really wish I could run into a few of you clowns at a game.

Would you fight us muffintops?

Also he was BPA at the time. Give him another year. He's a rookie.

yeah it seems like people like to up their post counts by responding to post with sarcasm a lot.

But as for Amini, I have to believe the coaching knew he would struggle, but being sandwiched between Gross and Kalil, that he would not struggle as much. Losing Wharton, had to be a bigger loss than the staff thought, especially with Kalil going down. Look at the Saints with Nicks leaving, even though they brought in Grubbs, that line didnt look the same for the 1st quarter of the season IMO.

We had to get under the cap, so Marty did what he had to do, and Wharton didnt want to restructure.
