Wrong again.
Fox beat Brady and Belichek early in the season that year. Probably one of the more memorable regular season games in Fox's time here.
It's amazing how much hate some of you have for Fox. The guy actually did a pretty decent job here, all things considered (and by all things considered, i'm talking about the vast number of pro bowlers who had season ending injuries and also coaching through Jake Delhomme and his complete melt down. Not to mention having the ability to bring in veterans completely cut off by an owner preparing for a lockout.)
Fox was a good coach, not great. But the way some of you guys paint him, you would think he was Rod Marinelli or Eric Mangini
For is a good coach. He thinks he's a great coach. He was paid like a great coach. I am sure he's a great guy.
...and he not had the great fortunate to have Manning in his lap right now, no one would be talking about him. He'd still be 8-8 with The Golden Calf of Bristol.
I don't have hate for anybody. All I know is I too am a season ticket holder and other than a few aberrations, the Panthers were always on the losing side of winning over the past 17 years, including this one.
I just don't want to make Fox out to be just oh so fabulous because Rivera sucks. To me Bellinchek is genius and he has the rings to prove them...rings, not ring...and multiple attempts at more.
