I often take the unpopular stance

Draft Luke bc we can't trust Beason and company to all be back
Don't sign all these RBs bc we won't give them touches to justify it
Chud is overrated and nothing like what is being pimped- last season when people wanted him as our HC
I typically get the, "CRA, you are an idiot" for such thoughts......
We should trade Smith or force him to retire after this year. Greatest Panther to date....but his time has run its course. He is one of MANY big moves we must start making. We need to move forward....I think as this season progresses that will become more clear. Bash away bc I know the Smitty man love is off the charts.....but his era is over and that era still holding on is one of several big problems IMO.

...and needs to...if that GM thinks Smith is done, then he's done.
I've seen Smith take a lot of shots this year and I believe it's taken quite a toll on him.
He'll be lucky to able to walk by the time he is 50.
He has been, in my opinion, the best players the Panthers have ever had. He will be missed.

I seriously doubt the JR will allow any GM to part ways with Smith. This is Steve Smiths team to leave.

I think forcing him to be our #2 would be more ideal IMO
more of a matter if smitty can handle it
Or have him occupy the slot when we run 3WR sets.

And that will hinder the Panthers growth.

so is this an "I wanna cookie" thread?
Meh, I also said Dwayne Jarrett just needed a chance....pretty much up to his last DUI. So no, no cookie....but it is a lets talk about things people don't like to even think about.

Which is part of the problem.....and I don't disagree with that being the stance that could be taken.

It isn't a talent issue.....Smith has the talent to play for several more years in an altered role.

Re-hire Dom Capers as head coach
