So if the Panthers beat the Bucs, (which looks like will happen.) We will go on and "finish strong" again against weaker teams, probably finish 7-9 or 8-8 and Rivera saves his job again. Then the same crap will happen next year. We will play ourselves out of playoff position but "finish strong" against bad teams. Wrinse and repeat.

No GM is keeping Rivera. He hasn't done anything to deserve to stay.

If we finish 7-9 or 8-8 you can rest assured he gets another year. Then what happens? We will lose and move out of playoff contention next year and "Finish strong" pathetic

In a year and a half we have beat one team with a winning record. I don't care how we finish, unless JR truly is happy with losing there is no way he keeps Rivera.

The only thing that would save Rivera is if we actually MADE the playoffs. He is viewed as inept...

The end of this game is exactly why Rivera doesn't deserve another year...we have our best receiver matched up on a guy who can't cover him, Cam is FINALLY in a rhythm, and we call 3 straight runs in order to let them have one last shot with 1 minute left. No matter if they win or not...its just a stupid decision not to try to close out the game yourself.

3 wins isn't going to do it. I say he can lose not more than 1 more game..... he has his work cut out for him. Tampa was NOT good today.

And THAT is why Ron Rivera sucks as a coach...you never let them have those 50 seconds. There was no reason to concede the ball with 1 minute to go when Cam was connecting with his receivers.

This. No decent GM prospect is taking this job if he's tied to Rivera and this staff. He's gonna want to bring in his own guys.

But JR's precious money!. Think 2010.

We haven't had that in a decade.
