That pass to Smitty on the slant in the 4th perfectly illustrates why. Also continues to show why Chud is such a stubborn idiot... As I and some other nobodies have said repeatedly, the read option crap is what leads to decreased time making a read and passing, and if Cam knows who to go to before the play it causes poor footwork leading to the throw and/or smaller passing windows.

Hopefully the next coach/OC is taking notes.

I agree. The read option was always supposed to be a change of pace, not the base of our offense.

yep. cam has shown repeatedly he can make those types of underneath timing throws as well as the deep stuff that's his bread and butter.

a new coach that can learn to run an effective base set as well as utilizing wrinkles and innovative sets - and run it with intelligent playcalls - is going to go places with this team.
