How can someone be GLAD we lost? Cynical much?
He did a decent job of explaining why he thought that but still, its a pathetic way to look at it. Its a losers mentality.

This is what I was thinking. Maybe somebody will get the hots for Barkley. The problem is that there may not be a QB available worth taking at that spot. I'd love to be able to trade that pick to a QB desperate team for a king's ransom.

Kiper!!!! what does he know!
Just relaying the information. I picked us to go 10-6 this year, and spent roughly a grand to see three games of it happen. I guess he knows at least as much as I do.

There are no QBs worth the #1 overall, Barkley included. Teams looking for a QB can trade down and still take the best QB available easily.
Barkley, Geno Smith, and Tyler Wilson are the top 3 QB prospects I believe, and none of them were nearly good enough this year to have any chance at the #1 spot IMO.

I don't see Rivera as a quality coach. We have regressed, team commits a ton of dumb penalties, doesnt seem to motivate players. The only thing worth a darn is our defense and even that falls apart late every game.
I like to think about the long run and the bigger implications than one or two meaningless games during the regular season that if won could set us back for years.
Not to mention improving our draft position.

I just don't see how we will get to three wins.
We can beat Philly and KC and the Chargers can be beat as well

Well, im not giving up hope on this team for the future. I still think we can get to 5-11, or 6-10 again but no matter what, we need to sure up the OL this offseason. We do that, our run game will return, Cam will get time and our offense will look much improved.
