His first year in St Louis he was 8-8 before falling to 3-13 the next year. The following year he was fired 4 games in. He had 1 .500 season and 1 sub-.500 season. It's hard to say what that 2008 team would have done if he wouldn't have been fired.

Bill Belichick was fired in Cleveland. He learned from his time, improved upon his head coaching approach and became one of the greatest HC ever.

Like I said, he certainly would not be at the top of the list, but I might would still give him a look.
