Out of our three starting linebackers, JA is the weak link. That doesn't require a genius to figure that out.
Apparently it takes a genius to figure out that you need to see the whole body of work, not just one game.

Davis and Kuechly play most of our defensive snaps.
Why?
Because they're our best backers.

Sorry, sometimes I start daydreaming and I forget this is the Panthers we're talking about. The Panthers dont "trade" any of their starters.. They never have. Regardless of any new GM, expect this philosophy to continue. That progressively senile old man in the Ivory Tower - he never trades starters, and he'll never spend big money in Free Agency.
He cuts high priced players or lets them walk. Does piddly trades for bench-warmers and 6th and 7th round draft picks, picks up old players past their prime in free agency if theyre available for a song.
You guys know all this.. Why pretend something else is actually gonna happen?

I don't know, I have to disagree with that statement.
I love Beason as much as the next guy, one of my all-time Panther favorites. However, I think we have the next Urlacher on our hands, something really special that will be a force for years. He is leading all rookies in tackles and looks very comfortable in the MLB position, why damper his progression and put in an aging vet? Unless Beason seriously restructures his contract, moves to the outside, or just takes a leadership role, I think we should pay our respects and let him catch on with another team. Always hate to see a guy like Beason go but it's for the better...

Ron Edwards has actually earned his $ this season.
Gamble/Gross/DWill
Anderson is average, being paid above average.
Beason will redo his deal I think.
