Fug yeah Graham is a way better kicker.
Ironic I just posted a mock with us drafting a FSU kicker...Gano is a FSU alumn.
Im glad we cut Medlock, he wasnt the answer.
I am very interested in FSU kicker too. He has a very strong leg.

Biggest issue is Chud, then Rivera. Nitpicking the small issues isn't enough to impact anything.

If Nortman doesn't shape up, he will be the next one cut.

I know it sounds crazy but honestly I would have tried to get Kasay back who must be laughing out loud about what has happened to our field goal kicking game since we released him.
I'm sure Rivera was likely behind getting rid of Kasay.....guys in this business don't like admit when they mess up.

wow goes 5-5, misses 2 FGs and he's cut. The other 3rd missed one was blocked. Rivera definately looking for a scapegoat.
All the ones he made were scary to watch and barely scraped through. Most of them weren't long FGs eithers and shouldn't have been that close

Pointless scapegoat move.

One could make the point had he made his FG as TB made theirs that we would have won...

Having said that i would have let him stay on. He wasn't doing any worse than your average kicker in the league.
Nortman has had two fine games and is not a problem yet.

Agreed, would also allow him to retire a Panther. We literally have nothing to lose at this point.
Would be a feel good story in an otherwise forgettable season.
Biggest criticism about Kasay for years was his weak leg on kickoffs.
So Carolina holds on to him until the season that the rules are changed to shorten kickoffs.
Can't make this stuff up.
