Whats the chances he becomes our permanent gm? There was an article about him in the local paper the other day because he graduated from UNCW and apparently he is a favorite of JR. Beane thinks he has a good shot at getting the job.
I hope he has 0 chance, because even if he is qualified (which I dont think he is) , I think this place needs to clean house..

I'd be all for it, he's worked his way through the ranks and has earned a shot. Just because he worked for Hurney doesn't mean he'll be like Hurney, though it does mean JR is just looking for another yes man.

We need someone that has demonstrated success. Beane may be really good at what he has done, but he has no experience in player evaluation or most of the other things a GM should do.
Arranging flights and hotel rooms does not count as experience. No knock on Beane, but let him get his feet wet someplace else.

when we have had as small of an amount of losing seasons we do not need to be hiring from the inside. It just cultivates a culture of losing.
