Call me crazy but I think JR will trade Smitty to a championship contender next year just out of respect for what he did for the franchise.

You're crazy

After this season when Randy Moss and Tony G. retire. Steve Smith will be second in the league for receiving yards...only behind Reggie Wayne.

Quite a feat with subpar QB's IMO.

Him and Wayne came the same year- I am truly convinced that if our boy Smitty would have 15k by now if he had a Manning or Brady.

He's my favorite player, I don't think he will anymore, but I want him to get a ring even if with another team (not NFCs).

Well, if Smitty was in Indy Marvin Harrison still was gonna get his.....it all evens out I think. Different WRs. Smitty likely wouldn't of been as heavily targeted on a better team.

Or given the chance to start..as a devin Hester experiment.

He will make at least one more post season appearance as a Panther. Most likely it will be 2014

I hope that Smith is still here at least a couple more years, he's one of the best in the league and my favorite WR...

I rather call you something else. But I'll get banned. I'm debating whether or not to call you this simply because it's been noted and Smith himself has said it many times before. He will not go to another team. He'll retire before any of that happens. I may just call you that name...fug it. I'm rarely on anymore.

You're an idiot. (Sorry Zod. I'll take my banning like a man.)

I don't think you are crazy because that is a very reasonable assumption. However, Steve is a family oriented man now. He'd rather retire before either uprooting his family or spending the better part of a year away from them.

You are all fools. I started this damn thread so we can appreciate one of our greats and the only thing you guys do is call each other names..

I guess this is what happens when our team is 2-8.

It's just the huddle.

I really hope he gets a ring.

That's pretty cool! He is my favorite panther of all time. The fire he plays with is just amazing. We will get this team back into the post season so he can show out again
