I just don't understand True fans wanting to lose on purpose. I do understand the desire to want better draft picks....but NOT at the expense of losing intentionally. I want to win, but I don't think that tanking our season and our players morale is the answer. The answer is COACHING!

how did i lie?

Umm weren't you doing that when we had Clausen?

ummmm.....no.

i didn't have to. i wanted to win, but i was also cheering on the other teams to win who were close to being worse than us, but there really wasn't anyone.

As I said, I've never considered a bad memory a reason to say it wasn't a lie but to each their own

I want to see my team win. Al Davis said it best. Top draft picks doesn't always pan out great so why tank your current season just to get better positioning in the draft? These are professionals who take pride in what they do and truthfully many are playing for the jobs so no.

We will be fine. All I do as a fan, is watch, cheer and enjoy the games. I'm not a gm so I will not worry about draft picks or salary caps because that means nothing to me. I just want to see my boys win!

There are no sure things in the draft at any spot.

Losing to increase the chances of drafting any player is an exercise in stupidity.

As I've said before, tanking the season would be difficult to pull off when you have guys playing for the lives of their careers. It would take a coaching sabotage, and while it often seems like that is what Rivera and Chud are doing, I don't think their jobs are safe enough for that to be the case.

Obviously this is true, but, according to the generic trade value chart, there is a 1,700 "point" difference between the #1 overall pick and the #10 overall pick (possible if we do finish 4-2 again, 6-10 overall), basically pissing away the value of ANOTHER top 5 pick! Even the drop from #5 to #10 is equivalent "value" of throwing away a top 50 draft pick. That's not even including picking 5-10 spots down in EVERY single round, on a team with multiple holes to fill...http://walterfootball.com/draftchart.php

These are not just invaluable on the field, but could play a large factor in contract negotiations/luring our new GM and coach.
