The difference between Rivera and Fewell is that Fewell actually does have a little HC experience and did pretty well despite the the circumstances.

Also, why do people continue to compare Fewell to Fox? Because Fox was a DC for the Giants too? If so, not a great argument because they both are in two different regimes.

And how quickly people forget that part of the reason he has been turned down for HC jobs is partly in due to the Rooney Rule.

absolutely not.

that's what i wanted last time.

most definitely what i want this time.

defensive minded coaches tend to lean on the conservative side of things. they lean towards playing it safe and playing ball control offense. imo, you have to be aggressive if you want to compete at the top or really at all.

i wasn't a fan of the idea then and i'm not now.

I'd much rather have a guy that's been a head coach at some level. Whether that be Shaw (who probably won't leave Stanford), Arians (who I'd love), Will Muschamp, Wade Phillips, Kevin Sumlin, etc.

i forgot about Muschamp, he would bring that toughness that this team needs.

we never had a QB that could run all that well before, why do we want one now? /facetiousness

the league has changed quite a bit...and we were also the beneficiaries of a roided up Oline that year. not sure that great year would have happened if the Oline had been clean.

2003 fox was a different guy from 2009 or 2010 fox

yeah, 2003 fox before his star players got old and injury-riddled and his quarterback melted into a puddle of goo was pretty good and might even be able to win more than a few games with this team.

For my part, he's not my first choice, but I wouldn't scream about it if he got the job.

you guys are so used to haveing DC's as HC's you fail to see we have changed up our style of Offense and are no longer a pound the run team... We need a OC minded coach that will unleash our potential, not bottle it up. fox, Rivera.... now you want Fewell? wow, I say Kelly, or Gruden or GTFO
