Yeah, if Garret gets shitcanned, then the Cowboys are the most desirable HC spot, just because of their popularity. Then I'd say it's a toss up between us, the Eagles and the Chargers in terms of a mix of prestige of the franchise and talent of the roster, with us having maybe a slight edge because our QB is young and we have a bright future with him.

i agree, if there is a better roster in place it is certainly in dallas. not that ours is great or much better than other teams listed, but we have some good guys and relatively young.

I can see Dallas being undesirable for some guys, what with Jerry Jones' constant meddling with the roster...

first thought would be places like Dallas or Philly, however new NFL coaches may not want their first job to instantly carry so much pressure. The scrutiny received by whoever takes over at those two places is going to be sick.

I don't want Chip because he's a good, not great, college coach who has ZERO NFL experience.

I don't want to be his pro tryout, I see another Bobby Petrino.

Of those teams I would put Carolina top 3.

The only teams I put above would be the Cowboys, and maybe the Chargers.
Cowboys are a glamorous team with a lot of talent. It's a pressure cooker with a meddling owner though.
SD is a very attractive place to live. Rivers has proven he can play at an elite level although he hasn't as of late. The organization has failed time and time again with stacked teams though. Team is currently a mess.
Carolina has a young QB with a lot of potential and a lot of young talent. Has potential cap issues and a lot of roster holes.

All of this will depend on the candidate though. If he's someone that wants to build on an already established team legacy, Philly, Cowboys, Raiders might be more attractive. If he wants to build up a team legacy from the ground, the Panthers are probably the most attractive destination.
