Only way it's even a CONSIDERATION, is if he finishes on a 6 game win streak.

If we weren't hiring a new General Manager I'd agree that Rivera would probably get one more year to screw up before we kicked him out.

But we are and Rivera is gone. Thank God.

He might could stick around if he wins the two division games. Might. Doubtful I think though with as many leads have been blown.

It's not unheard of for a new GM to give a struggling coach an 'audition' season.

Seems unlikely to me, but yeah. It could happen.

^This. New GM= new coach unless coach is making playoff runs.

He was a sports writer for the Tampa Tribune, as well as the Charlotte Observer. He's the NFL writer that covers the NFC South for ESPN........

While I don't agree with his opinion on this, he knows plenty about the NFC south.

God help us. The only way I could stomach it at all would be if he replaced basically all our offensive coaches.

A fired Norv Turner replacing a fired or demoted Rob Chudzinski would have some benefits.

You get someone with a more consistent record as an OC, plus a guy who can help Rivera learn the nuances of game management.
