AUTHENTIC Carolina BBQ is pork with a vinegar-based sauce.

All of this Kansas City BBQ, beef BBQ, tomato-based BBQ sauce talk is nonsense.

In absolutely every way. Eastern, western, or traditional style. NC BBQ has it on lock. KC ain't nothing to scoff at either but it still ain't even close.

yea i stick with the chipotle blueberry as well. ive only been twice as i dont live in asheville. i live in brooklyn and there are quite a few decent Q spots, but haven't found ribs done proper anywhere. i usually resort to doing my own ribs, i make honey chipotle sauce.

i'll take your advice for the lines next time im in town probably over christmas


Why does everyone have to make these sweet BBQ sauces? If it ain't vinegar it ain't BBQ.

Next you'll tell me people put sugar in the cole slaw...

Ribs or not any sauce that has honey or something sweet in it is straight vaj.
