A waiver claim requires $1.62M in cap room this year. Do you guys even have $1.62 left?

he would be a good fit somewhere with the space to sign him purely for passing downs..

His contract is too big, he's over the hill and he's not producing.

No, no, no.

His contract is manageable if we really want him.

I would expect no shortage of suitors for Jason Babin, and with his salary manageable ($4.325 in 2013) waiver claims a distinct possibility

Jason Babin's base salary for this year is $5.575 million. Any team claiming him on waivers would pick up the $1.64 million in salary left.

I want. Heck, do what the Giants do and start Johnson, Hardy, and Babin. That would be a formidable pass rush.

Hell yea imagine CJ, Hardy, Dwan, and Babin on third down putting on the pass rush.

He wants to play for a winner, not a team others eat for dinner.

What the heck are you guys talking about? Just sign anyone, someone, get someone in here quick. We have the Chiefs this weekend. Spend a load more cash and all for what? The chance to pick 12th rather than 10th?

I cannot believe the threads around here.

Reid is on his way out, but doing the right thing by looking ahead to next season. Most teams in our shape recognize that you might as well let your backups see live bullets. Could greatly effect what you do the in draft in April. But not here. We want to bring in other teams castoffs to strive for that elusive 5th win.

Man, it is hard to pull for this organization.

Hugh Douglas and Troy Vincent (both former Eagles under Ray Rhodes and Andy Reid) said Babin laid down once the Eagles started losing games. Andy Reid is gone, so the team is looking to see what young guys are going to keep playing hard to earn a spot on next year's rebuild.

Babin is old...there is a reason he was released. Football players do not gradually degrade they just fall off the face of the earth quickly.

Sean Alexander MVP, two years later, Sean Alexander former NFL guy.

It is Happening to Jordan Gross now, Deangelo Williams since the payday.. Just hanging out tweeting..Keyshawn Johnson, Warren Sapp, Torry Holt, Marshall Faulk, Ladanian T, Niamdi Asoumouagh...

Possibly Beason... He was missing tackles and over pursuing plays the season before the Achillies injury. I love the guy but this is "real talk" as the kids like to say.

Kinda a great reason not to overpay for near or over 30 year old free agents.

Soon to join the club: Vincent Jackson, Smitty? Vick, Andre Johnson,C. Gamble, John Abraham, Colston, Polomalu..

Ron is out, Babin being the book end for CJ and Hardy tearing it up in the middle with Dwan, that's a beefy line that would wreak havoc! Sign the guy!!
