Panthers should go after Tony Dungy

Its rare for any coach to have success with two different teams. Vermeil did it, winning a sb with the Cardinals and getting to it with the Eagles. I can't think of anybody else.

Fwiw, I am not sure he has the desire anymore.

Also, Dungy would be just as intrigued by Luke as Cam if not more so.

If he were looking for a coaching job I would be happy with him, but he seems retired to me, that being said, he may be out of touch with today's NFL player

Overrated coach. Couldn't get it done in Tampa Bay & rode Peyton Manning's coat tail in Indy.

Tony Dungy, by all accounts, is an amazing individual & great man. But he's overrated as a coach.

I don't know about all accounts; let's ask James Dungy.

This post is laughable. Tell me Peyton's record in the playoffs in Indy before Tony was his coach. Jets used to kick Peyton's ass every year! What was Tampa's record the previous years before he came down there?

0-1

You're arguing a 2nd year QB got beat in the playoffs?!?!?! GASP!!!!!!

What is Cam's playoff record thru 2 years?

,.............

Now, you tell me what Tampa Bay's playoff record was after they got a real coach. Pretty sure they won the Super Bowl.

Both coaches won superbowls but only one gave thanks after winning the superbowl to the former coach who built the defense which got him there.

That is true he loves defense. Maybe if he was our coach he could come here and help the Panthers draft the next Warren Sapp.

I will pass

I worry about coaches who have been away from the game. I think they are at risk of losing touch with the sport and may not be as willing to put in the needed hours like they previously did.

I think that he is a great manager of men (which we need), but I am just not a fan of those who has been away from the game.

I dont know how many times I have to tell you boobs this, but Carolina will NEVER hire a former high profile Coach, thanks in large part to the Seifert disaster. So get over it you Clowns.

Dungy - not coming here (or anywhere else) - Get over it

Cowher - not coming here - Get over it

Reid - not coming here - Get over it

Holmgren - not coming here - Get over it

Gruden - not coming here - Get over it.

We've done "the former great" and the "successful coordinator" route - This time it will be a College Coach. Someone NOT named Chip Kelly.

I'd love it. Unfortunately, I think he's lost the desire to come back.

Awesome... So did you get this straight from JR? Or our new GM whomever that may be? Cause the way you stated that made it seem like that is a 100% factual statement.

David Shaw from Stanford makes the most sense. There's a better chance Rivera remains with the team than the FO hiring any of these familiar names all you clowns like to toss around.
