I served, and I agree with him. White guilt is destroying this country slowly but surely. And just because you served or didn't should not be a litmus for whether you love your country or not.
That wasn't my point; I wanted to point out how silly it was for him to question another person's love for this country when in the view of many people (myself included) he has done nothing to display his love for this country and is essentially in the same position as the people he is attempting to question.
White guilt is destroying this country slowly but surely....if by white guilt you mean being forced to treat minorities as people, not being able to say whatever you want to a black person (back in the day you could pretty much poo on a black person and they had to take it), blacks being treated as equal and not inferior, blacks being able to complain about discrimination.....then yeah white guilt is destroying this country.
Please explain to me how whites in America do not enjoy an extremely privileged experience as compared to minority groups? Please explain to me how "white guilt" has eroded the rights of the average everyday white man?
It is impossible to have an honest discussion about race because there are always people who deep down inside feel that blacks and other minorities are in fact inferior and that should be the end of the discussion.
