IC says Fedora is interviewing in NYC for the TENN job along with Mike Gundy.
Actually if you go back and Read it states that he did not interview nor set up an interview.
These rumors/ confirmations about Fedora/UT talks are quite humorous. 0% worried about Fed leaving for UT, but whatever makes state fans feel all giddy inside let them believe.
Lets see so far from the same source about the NY meeting.
Gruden looking to become head coach at UT
Gruden has contract set up and is in Knoxville.
Gruden will be the next coach at UT just waiting on announcement
Just waiting on announcement
Just waiting on announcement
Now obviously this isnt true, now move on to this past week
Friday: UT interviewing Fed- fedora was at TJ Logans Championship game sooo..then
Sat: UT interviewing, well again debunked Fed was at shown at the the UNC basketball game sitting with one of the high rams club donors
Monday: He was interviewing yet somehow he did that while he was speaking at a rams club function.
Tuesday: just push it back one more day, he's interviewing in NY while hes with the unc ad and head of rams club.
Players have tweeted they've spoke to Fed and people close to him and say no worries. Recruits have spoke to coaches and again, No worries
NCst beat writers at the News & Disturber and such keep pushing it out to the media with the same sources which stated UT will announce Gruden next week.
One of the guys who was blowing it up yesterday now just tweeted:
Mark Armstrong
This seems much more definitive "
Details
Mark Armstrong
In response to whether Fedora told him 'it's all rumors or that 'he's staying at UNC'. "

Our entire athletic department should be blown out of there. We're currently being run by an AD we got from Bama and a chancellor we got from Florida.
Hire Fulmer as AD and Petrino as coach.

Fedora must have sucked in his interview if they don't hire him because there is no way in hell you turn down Tennessee to stay at Carolina...unless Tennessee really is that big of a dumpster fire.
The dumpster fire is the athletic administration. UNC has the NCAA sniffing around, but I'd say most respectable coaches probably wouldn't leave a gig like that after just one year.

Strong will carry the Louisville Cardinals into their move to the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2014. Last week's move from the Big East to the ACC was considered a major factor in his decision to remain with the program.
Good news for the conference. Strong is a good coach and his program will make the ACC better.

I also think that the UNC AD made it extremely difficult for Fedora to leave after one year in the terms of his contract.

first off UNC is not under NCAA investigation anymore, this is a university led process to try to insure the foolishness that led to the mess we find ourselves in never happens again. second UT has a great fanbase & support but the state of tenn does not produce much div. 1 caliber prospects while N. Carolina produces them in spades. in fact NC is taylor made for Fedora with the amount of spread offenses run in the stateThe dumpster fire is the athletic administration.
