Beasley had a much better college season, and would have been the national player of the year if it werent for Hansbrough taking most of the honors that year. Rose was a better fit from an NBA perspective, but some poeple thought Beasley should go 1. By the time the draft finally came around though everyone knew Chicago was picking Rose.

I dont know how you can claim Minny should be playing Jefferson and Love together. They tried that, didnt work (possibly could have worked on offense, no chance on defense), so they had to move Jefferson.

Beasley was just like Harold Arceneaux at Weber st. A player putting up great numbers on a bad team.
Rose as a freshman led a team to the national championship game (one Mario Chamlers shot from winning it). Now you can say Beasley had better numbers he did. But Rose had a better season if W-L is the most important thing?

2. What is the difference from what they are doing now in Minny? Pekovic isn't know as a great or even good defender. Actually Jefferson is a way better rebounder and shot blocker. So in reality they would be better inside now if they had stuck with the Love/Jefferson Combo.

Uh, no. Beasley was absolutely nothing like some random-ass player from Weber fuging St, he put up better numbers than Kevin Durant in the big 12. He was also 2nd in almost every player of the year award.

Just because Minny replaced Jefferson with a pile of poo doesnt mean Love and Jefferson fit together. They didnt, which is why nobody questioned their decision to trade him to Utah

Beasley was a good player in college but he was in no way going to Chicago. 1. they already had Louol Deng. 2. Derrick Rose was the hometown guy who just led a team to a national Championship game. Not to mention he has been traded how many times now?

Again not my fault Minny has a dumb FO. They would have a better Front court with Jefferson then with Pekovic.
What is the difference in what Utah is doing with there front court? Love is a way better player but him and Millsap have same type skill sets. And the Jazz have been making the playoffs and the Timberwolves haven't. Maybe Minny would be making the playoffs more often if they kept Jefferson and Love togehter.

Just because its an easy decision in hindsight doesnt mean it was so simple at the time.

Utah doesnt know what they are doing with their frontcourt, which is why they have multiple top-3 picks as their back-up bigs. And for what its worth, Utah went from a 53 win team to 39 wins and missed the playoffs after trading for Jefferson.

It was simple at the time that's why they made it.

D Rose and Deng was a better choice then Hinrich and Beasley.

They have made the playoffs which Minny hasn't and have been a better team. If Minny would have kept the Love - Jefferson Combo I have no doubt they would be a better team today.

1) It's way too early in the season to know where anyone will draft
2) The draft lottery always shakes things out weird. You never know where you will be drafting anyways
3) Team's will go BPA. They will take a star type of player over an average type of player

Lots of arguing over crap that doesn't matter. There isn't a LeBron/Durant/Wade/Kobe type talent in this draft. It doesn't really matter who or where anyone picks. It will be the exact same teams sitting in the lottery fighting for #1 in 2014. Rinse, rrpeat.
