Some that have already been stated that I agree with:
-Take care of your finances.
-Stay in shape (round doesn't count).

Some I haven't seen yet:
-Don't lie, cheat or steal, and do not tolerate those amongst you who do.
-Hold yourself accountable for your actions, do not make excuses.
-You don't need to read 5 hours a day, but you should always be reading a book. When you finish, start a new one.
-Keep a positive attitude, it's contagious. (A negative attitude is also contagious, avoid people who are always negative.)
-Don't get married until you are mature enough to put someone else before yourself. For me, that was close to 30.
- ^^^Same with kids.
-Try new things. It will make you feel young again for a few minutes.

All I can think of off the top of my head.

Learn to bite your tounge. Freedom of speech is also knowing when to shut up every now and then.

The only advice I have as an old guy is to figure out how to be happy and comfortable with yourself. Everything else will flow from there.

Experiment with some mind altering substances. Smoke a little grass, eat some speed, fuging hallucinate! Never let it take over your life but don't act like its cyanide either.

Getting to be 80 years old isn't worth a damn if you've never spent a night under the stars tripping on 'shrooms, acid, or better yet peyote.

I would recommend staying away from the needle though.

As Eden Ahbez wrote and the peerless Nat King Cole crooned:

The greatest thing you'll ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return.
