The NFL made the right call letting the Chiefs decide what to do.

That quote best summarizes the point I was trying to make earlier, and why I disagree with you, and the idea that the Chiefs themselves even really had much of a say in it.
Imagine knowing that something you did was as big a part of peoples lives as being an NFL football player. You would feel a tremendous amount of responsibility. Especially being a competitor. That plays into it as well.
There was probably more thought about the canceling of the game on the internet, and by random people who don't have to worry about having to play another NFL game again next week, than the actual NFL or KC Chiefs.
You have to put grieving aside and do your job. Because its a special one.
