i don't know why one would want to cut Josh Norman but he's done nothing that leaves me all giddy about the CB position moving forward...

Easy to blame the DB's in a zone scheme when the safeties aren't doing their job...

Norman is going to good a long time. I mean... we all saw what steve smith did to Pat Peterson on day 1 in the NFL... yea it wasn't pretty. First round cornerbacks have a very high bust rate and even when they aren't busts, they can play less than spectacular quite often (see morris claiborne, pat peterson and stephon gilmore).

You've also got to remember that in the NFL receivers hold all the cards. They choose where they are running and how they want to catch the ball and the corner is forced to adapt no matter what. Not to mention if the corner doesn't get his head around it's an automatic PI (dat judicial system of the refs). Pressuring the quarterback is a much more reliable pass defense than playing perfect coverage.

A CB without trash talk is like a Cadillac without wheels.

Norman is a solid #2 corner. He needs to add some bulk and strength however. He plays really soft. Would like to see him press. He is 6'0...he needs to use his frame to his advantage

Have you ever had a positive post?

It's December, the team has three wins, the GM has been fired, the special teams coach has been fired, the head coach will be fired....do you want ass sunshine or to discuss the realities surrounding the situation? You guys can pretend all you want but Norman is not a bright spot. Maybe he can get there and he should be given the opportunity....and he will.

You all are smoking crack, I don't know what player you're watching. Doesn't have the necessary speed and plays to far off

Or maybe I'm blind but all I see is a kid on the grind puttin in work...better than a whole lot of top corners we got a steal! Face it the kid got juice!

Ok maybe im blind but Josh Norman is nearly always getting burned, has dropped some easy picks and always seems to be yards away from his man. Josh Norman is another prime example of when fans of teams severly overrate their players

I completely understand if you can't answer this, but I know you have stated on here before that you like Norman for his attitude and trash talk - could you post an example of what he says- perhaps a clean version, thanks

Yes PT you're blind, the kid is a great CB for the round we took him in.

0% reason to cut Josh. But... um... Gamble had 6 INTs his rookie campaign.

This isn't even worth a discussion. Norman is absolutely not one of our main problems that needs to be fixed. He's doing a good job.

He's not very good.

Luckily for him "not very good" on the Panthers means one of our better defensive players and a solid piece for the future.
