I don't think John Jenkins is any good, nix is much better.

That actually makes sense, they'd try to copy the success of a division rival (Broncos) taking a 3-4 OLB in a 4-3 defense.

Watch, Raiders will pass up on Star for Jarvis or a Montgomery/Mingo. They likes to surprise people even themselves.

I'd be more than fine with Hankins, but Star is my preference. If by some stroke of terrible luck they're both gone I hope Nix is available in the 2nd. Those three, along with John Jenkins to a lesser degree, are the only DTs I really want from this draft.

Yea same here. But I'd like to get a Richardson or Ford in the 2nd if we somehow pass on a DT in the 1st.

I'm not a big fan of Short and he's a 3tech which we already have in Dwan. We need a NT.

Hankins is the better player for us. Unless we can't retain Dwan Edwards then we could use Stars versatility.

But if we want a true pocket collapsing, aggressive playing nose tackle with experience against strong linemen, then Hankins is the better choice.

the raiders are in the bottom 5 in sacks, i think they go after the best pass rusher in the draft (Damontre Moore).they still have Tommy Kelly, and Richard Seymour and a 300+ pound DE in Lamar Houston who can play DT. but a good chance of Kelly and Seymour being released to free some cap space.

The days of the head-scratchin, flashy pick from the Raiders died with Al... I think Oakland is due for some change from what we are used to getting. Not saying Al is Jerruh, but he had his way....

4 games left, how many can we win? I doubt it's all of them. If it is, then hell yea! But seriously, We're going to finish 4-12 or 5-11.

I don't know. I think Ron has one more win in him AT MOST. No way we get 5 wins IMO. He'll blow it some how.

So people think DT is our biggest need now?

Dwan and Ron are holding it down for now and I think Dwan has several quality years left. No doubt, we need to address it still, but I don't know that it is our #1 need.

I'm thinking Safety or a solid #2 CB (assuming Norman will be taking over Gamble's spot) are higher up there for now.

The D-line push has taken a nose dive the past couple of weeks after Ron got injured. He's old and injury prone. Dwan is serviceable but he needs somebody beside him....and Fua sucks ass. Star would be a definite upgrade to our situation but I keep hearing that this draft is deep in DTs. If the secondary and o-line talent lack depth in the later rounds this year, perhaps it would be better to select a top ranked player in one of those categories and go DT later on. But then again, by going that route, there's that possibility of finding another Fua in the rough...

I'm just starting to accept the fact that both Joeckel and Star will be gone when we pick. Would be our luck with the way this season has gone,

Then we get to pick Reid! :D
