It's just a list of production vs pay. That's it. Some of you guys are going waaaay to far into this. It's not an article claiming that anything along the lines of "Can you believe how cheap the Panthers are!!! Keuchly deserves to be paid more, and they suck for not doing so!"

He's a rookie.
The writer needs to get a clue.

I would assume he is suggesting that Keek is vastly outplaying his contract

I could be mistaken, but didn't Navorro Bowman just get a huge contract extension?

Edit: yes, yes he did - http://www.nfl.com/n...tract-extension

Bowman will earn $45.25 million with $25.5 million guaranteed over the life of the contract.

Much as I like Kuechly, I'd be extremely skittish of giving a contract extension to any player after just one season.

It's incredible how everything looks so good on paper, isn't it?

Notice how I didn't include the secondary? ;)

that is a matter of opinion.

My opinion is, is no rookie contract can be outplayed.
They can be stellar players, still playing on the first contract, but they'll make that money back and more, with their second contract.

If I recall correctly...

No rookie contract that is fully garunteed, can get redone until their fouth year, per the CBA.
