With LaFell Doubtful going into Sunday, I began wondering if Rivera will finally pull the trigger and put Gettis in there... If he wants a chance in hell to win this game he must start Gettis imo.

So what are the chances Huddlers? Most importantly what are the chances we can win without LaFell and or Gettis in there?

Edit: for those of you who don't know LaFell is suffering from turf toe/foot issue from the play where he dropped the deep pass from Cam.

0% ... Ron is a petty bitch. If you upset him he is going to punish you even if its to the determent of the team. JR needs to demand that gettis plays. The new gm needs to have some tape to see if the guy can contribute.

Gettis won't start. MAYBE some reps, but he will be on the bench for most of the game, unfortunately.

I don't know what's up with Gettis and Rivera. Several weeks ago, Ron said he would be used as a kick returner, but it never happened.

For Atlanta, Ron said they'll use Armond Smith on returns. Gettis must really suck in practice or he has pissed Rivera off over something.

Gettis was not out performing Smitty, Lafell or Murphy in practice and he is not going to leap over Joe or AE because of their return duties. That's why he was not dressing, not because RR has something against him.

He may have a shot now with the injury to Lafell.

i think gettis has more of a chance of staying around than rivera...but then the bar's not really set too high there.

But see, that's the problem with having a lame duck coach. There is little chance that either Murphy or Armanti are on the team next year. Gettis has a chance because he's tall and fast and could fill a potential role in the future.

We aren't going to the playoffs. Why not get him in there and see what he has? We're taking our lumps with other young guys, why are we unwilling to do it with Gettis?
