Will Beason be a Panther next year?

Recommended Posts

He will do what it takes and yes he will be playing next year. I think he knows he will be moving to the outside and will restructure his contract.

Not if we draft te'o.

If our new GM drafts a fuging LB with our first pick, I'm going to fuging fire-bomb BOA stadium.

We can't get rid of him even if we wanted to. Too much money wrapped up in his contract. To get rid of him now would throw our cap into a free fall. With all that said, he will play OLB next year, and will be great. (assuming he's healthy)

Look at this and answer the question yourself:

7/29/2011: Signed a six-year, $51.338 million contract. The deal contains $25 million guaranteed, including a $20 million signing bonus.

2012: $1.25 million

2013: $5.25 million

2014: $6.5 million

2015: $7.5 million

2016: $8.75 million

2017: Free Agent

Let's just put it this way- release Beason and it becomes a cap hit unlike much of the league has never seen before. The cap hit would make Sean Gilbert's look minimal.

He should be much better next year. That Achilles surgery takes some time to heal. No doubt Beason will contribute where ever they feel they need him
