Holiday Tipping

We are tipping the mailman, wife's hairdresser, our housekeepers...
We've now received two envelopes from the person that delivers the Sunday Charlotte Observer heavily hinting at a gratuity.
It's a little off putting
Goes along with being a 1 percenter.

I used to get those too. Made cancelling my subscription that much easier.

I like getting a Sunday paper still off putting if we were going to tip them
Now it's that much easier to not
I'd tip them every other year or so.

Stop being such a tight ass panthro. They shouldnt have to ask for a tip but if they have earned it give it to them anyway.
Apparently there are a lot of cheapskates in the Charlotte area that necessitate such envelopes and hints at giving gratuities.

Fug tipping the mailman, overpaid and underworked sucking billions out of the economy every year.
Although if I could afford housekeepers I'd be in position to tip unneccesarily, so just tip the fuging paperboy Mr. Buxton

When I was a kid I delivered a morning paper in upstate NY - rode my bike when I could - when I couldnt ride my bike cause of the weather, Id deliver it on foot through the snow - I never had to ask for any Christmas tips - but I got them anyway. I never failed to deliver a paper that I got dropped off to me by the boss man and folks were grateful - this was the pre internet days and before you had but about 2 stations of fuzz on the television to watch. Although the radio had been invented.

If my paper was still delivered by a neighborhood kid it wouldn't be a question. Id be happy to give him a substantial tip.
But the douche bag who delivers ours needs a new muffler, thinks it cute to trow them in the ditch and only seems to hit the driveway on days when the gravel will tear the bag and the paper gets soaked? Yeah my tip for him is to suck less.
