if You look before 3 weeks ago it's a slump, Cam has played at a Pro Bowl level lately, and that is helping out his overall stats immensely but if you want to say he wasn't going through a Slump from weeks 1-10 you are out of your mind.2011
4,051 passing yards, 60 % comp, 21 passing TDs, 17 INTs
706 rushing yards, 14 rush TDs
2012 (on pace for as of today)
3, 963 passing yards, 58% comp, 19 passing TDs, 12 INTs
787 rushing yards, 8 TDs rush TDs
So, he is on pace for....88 less passing yards (with 37 less pass attempts), 81 more rushing yards (with 2 more carries), 5 less INTs, a 2 % lower comp %, 2 less passing TDs (again 37 less pass attempts)
AND on pace for better yards per pass, yards per carry, and a better passer rating.
That isn't a slump. That just isn't the expected/hyped improvement.
Now Cam has had 3 straight weeks of very good play, is he out of his Sophmore Slump now? maybe, I'm very curious to see how he plays from here out for the rest of the season.

If you look at tiny portions of anything.....you can make an argument for almost anything.
Even when his numbers were poor.....Cam didn't look like he took a step back IMO. Same guy, stats always fluctuate for many reasons.
Run game and OL protection have hampered him more than him really slumping personally.....and Chud being a retard.

A light came on for Cam the past month or so...
Decision making, pocket awareness, play making....it's all coming together
As hard as I have been on him, I'll agree with this.

Nice note: since week 9 he has: 11 passing and 4 running tds (15 total) to just 2 ints
Heck, go back to week 4...14 passing TDs, 5 rushing TDs, 5 INTs
19 TDs to 5 INTs
.....he had a bad night on prime time TV week 3.....one week isn't a sophomore slump. media jumped on a week 3 game and never let go.

Cam Newton posted a 97.0 Total QBR in Carolina's win over the Falcons. It was the highest single-game QBR of his career and the highest by any Panthers QB over the last 5 season.
Also the highest of Week 14. QBR is still a shitty stat, though.

Totally
If we can just package Cam and Kuechly with a non-head-in-the-ass coaching staff, we're set
Add offensive weapons, be smart in fa, move forward, start winning fuggin games

Through week 8 he had 4-5 bad games (week 1 could be debated, had 1 TD and 2 INTs but completed 70% of his passes). More than week 3 that got the media talking.

When you have a gun like that, you're going to make teams pay no matter what your method is going through progressions. Guys in this league will get open and defenses will blow coverages and if you have an arm to make them pay like cam does you are a star, god-given.

Media also overlooked why we were losing those games.....and just went with Cam as the easy answer.

Not disagreeing with that, just disagreeing that week 3 is the sole reason he was said to be in a slump.

Well you said week 1 could be debated as he completed 70% of his passes with literally no run game 0 yards from RBs.
Week 2 - he dominated. 70% completion
Week 3 - media jumped on him
Week 4- great game at Atl - one we should of won.
That was the first quarter of season.....slump talk was in full swing at that point. One game started it and no one paid attention to why we lost just eagerly jumped on the slump talk.

Maybe the coaching letting him audible more?
