How can we have such a complete game?

The Falcons are the top team in the NFC looking at the wins. We not only spanked the dirty birds but did it without the usual of penalties, missing half our starters, plus we were balanced on both offense and defense......They looked like they were not playing scared and playing with a purpose.

Can anyone explain why this happened or better yet, why has it not been happening all year?

The Falcons have squeaked out wins with the easiest schedule in the league. I feel like the Seahawks were a better team than they are.

They will be one and done again this year which will be fun to watch.

saw some falcons fan post in here something like the panthers always almost win but the falcons always almost loses.

they are the kings of lucky breaks this year. it was only a matter of time.

on our end, though...it's taken the coaching staff growing a set and allowing themselves to keep the foot on the gas the entire game instead of castrating themselves in the 4th quarter and trying to "protect" a lead.

if they push all game, they win. if they try and play it safe and play not to lose, they lose.

wins only come when they are 100% the whole game and act like the game is always on the line and they are playing from behind.

Crazy things happen when you have nothing to lose.

We just need to learn how to have this mentality every single game. That all starts with preparation though which comes with a good coach...

I'm still trying to figure out how we got beat by the team that got smoked by the Browns this week. And then turn around and put a foot in ATL's ass.

We have played only 4 games with a bunch of attitude this year. The two ATL games, the NO game, and the Monday night game. For some reason we have seemed a little blase. We need to play nasty football every Sunday, and play with a chip on our shoulder every Sunday. It may be too late this season but next season we need to accept the hate on Cam and our team, and take on a "us against the world" mentality and just play like mad men who hates everybody!!

Any given Sunday man..

This will change when we find a legit head coach.

Its a "rivalry" game. Records and all that go out the window.

Giants played our "option" scheme and smashed us, then looked lost against their rival Redskins same "option" scheme. When you play a familiar opponent things can happen.

the chiefs played on emotion.

remember yesterday the cowboys actually played like they had balls.

when a teammate dies the day before, expect them to come out fighting...at least that week.

I believe we have not played many complete games because our coaching staff was hell bent on making Cam run a college offense. It used to be that a running QB couldn't make throws and our staff fed into that philosophy despite last year's performance by our offense. Our special teams have been abysmal most of the season. MickeyD has games like this where the D looks confusing, fast, and in control. Our staff is just filled with inconsistency.

This is why why head coaches who are legit make such a different. They keep the players in the winning mentality throughout the year.

I understand the Falcons may not be as good as their record but we are a team that just lost to the Chiefs, who have one of the leagues worst records. If our team played and our coaches coached with the this intensity every week ....who knows?

The Panthers players took it upon themselves to get fired up to play the Falcons after what happened earlier in the year.

Imaging if our coaching staff could get them to be fired up every week... aka... coaches do their job.
