Living in Alabama I'd love it for the sole purpose of pissing off all the Tide fans.

But realistically heck no.

Dude's way of handling the players just doesn't work in the NFL, and Lombardi is like the Jon Gruden of GM's so heck no to that too.

Their target isn't Charlotte, it's Cleveland.

Not no but hell no, the guy is a mediocre coach without his steady diet of 5-4 star recruits. At the end of the SEC championship game before the half he channeled his inner Ron Rivera and let the clock run almost run out with three timeouts. There are games when he is out-coached but his talent wins the day.Guy is way over hyped in the media.

Also you would think with his ability to recruit the way he does he could put together a great offense or an amazing QB to say the least. He would be here for 2-3 years before he would tuck tail and run back to college.

Personally, hell no. But on an interesting note I remember awhile ago hearing jason taylor on ESPN saying that saban was probably the best and most influential coach he had in Miami or something like that.

With BCS championship approaching there are talks of Saban jumping ship of Bama because the whole 24/7 crimson tide feel it gets to be over bearing. He has said that if he goes to the NFL he only wants to work with Michael Lombardi.

So with all that said, what are your thoughts on a Lombardi GM with Saban as HC. He would bring back out our strength at the running game, our defense would be ultilized, the only thing is i dont know how well he'd gel with Cam in terms his progression and using him in the best way possible. Just a thought and I would like to know what you guys think.

You do remember Saban's stay in Miami, don't you?

Why don't we go for Petrino while we are at it.

The problem with Saban is that he is dominant in college because he has pros basically at every position...his competition, for the most part, does not.

So I get blasted for suggesting Cam Cameron as the next OC and someone brings up Nick Saban as a HC candidate?

If you can tell. This option is not popular either.

Did miami have the weapon we do? Yeah didn't think so. Coming to carolina is a much better prospect than when he went to Miami. People forget bilicik sucked a Clevland. Look at him now.
