I would take McDaniels. I know it's an unpopular position, but if he were a bum, would Belichick have taken him back? Most people would not have been excited about Belichick after Cleveland.

I would think McDaniels learned something from his experience in Denver. I would have to know that for a fact before I hired him, though.

Rivera teams start off slow and lack motivation just like Norv team.

Yep. I made a thread about this a while back. I think he's easy going in practices and does not emphasize conditioning. It's also one of the reasons out defense is gassed at the end of games.

I don't know about McDaniels right now. I think he will eventually be a good coach in the league if he ever gets another opportunity. The stuff he did in Denver was very immature though. How can you trade Jay Cutler? He just had too much say in personnel decisions which is a death wish especially for a first time HC. If he had a GM with some balls he might still be coaching in Denver. Oh well.

as a OC he's not a bum. as a HC, he's a bum.

belichick didn't take him back to be a HC. he took him back because he's a great OC. being a great OC doesn't make you a good HC, which he showed in spades.

poo I'd take Wishenhunt anyday of the week. Are y'all kidding me?

He's a great offensive minded coach. Look what he did with Warner. The bad plays at their QB position is probably going to cost his job.

His team didn't quit on him. They quit of the bad plays of the QBs.

Cam + Wishenhunt = BIG THINGS

No for McDaniels, fu(k the man. He destroyed a winning organization in two simple years. Don't want the man near Charlotte.

Back on the topic of awful WFNZ commentary, Taylor Zarzour said he would trade JStew for DeAngelo Hall.

Lol when he said that my opinion of him took a irreversible nose dive.

LMFAO. The fu(k. Does he not know that the Redskins already have a rookie rusher who already rushed for 1k.

i think that all that matters is being able to turn it around. it doesn't matter when that turning around happens, as long as it does.

I agree to an extent. But then I look at San Diego. They have been in that suck-early-turn-it-around-late rut for years now. I don't want to get stuck in that spin cycle with Ron.

totally agreed.

you know that they are right on the cusp of doing great things and until this year, every year seemed like they could make a solid run at the superbowl. they just continually underachieve and there's only so long you can go just blaming it on the players and not the coaching staff.

he said that around the beginning of FB season before they signed him to an extension.

Both of these morons say things like this on a daily basis.

Another gem was to trade #89 for whatever draft choice they could get. As "analysts" or "experts" you'd think they'd know that Carolina and Cam doesn't have many options to throw the ball to. Why get rid of a guy who brings it every game and is about as reliable as they come in the NFL.

Marc James is a Raiders fan. Zarzour is a Dolphins fan.

Brett Jensen hates life..he has no business to be on the radio.. His career peaked in college.

Mac Attack to me is the Huddle in radio form. With the above 21 year old huddlers at least.

WFNZ-The Drive from 3-7 is actually a quality show (high level guests) but having Marc with a C as the solo host this week is like nails on the chalkboard...having the douchey Host going solo is awful. you cannot have the Lima bean of radio be the main course.

You can say what you want about Jenson, and for the record I'm not a big fan of him either, but Brett is the closest thing to a journalist that WFNZ has on it's airways. His show is the #1 sports show in the area if I'm not mistaken. I know it's the highest rated in the area. Jensen is a former AP and I believe he used to have a college FB vote and a NFL HOF vote.

Like I said though, I'm not a big fan of his but the guy did at one point have some fairly impressive credentials. However, his show being #1 for sports in Charlotte is a testament how poor WFNZ has become.

The worst show on WFNZ without question is "The Weekend Warriors" with Lynn Martez and Steve Lylerly. It comes on Sat/Sun mornings early. It's the worst sports show I've ever heard.

I tweeted to Lylerly a few weeks ago: "Get this crap off the radio" and he tweeted me back "Can you elaborate?" lolllll

Uh, Steve, record the show then listen to it when you get home.

One other thing, "The Drive" with Marc and Taylor is absolutely not a "quality show". The producers book the guests not Taylor and Marc.

Whisenhunt lost a lot of credibility this year, I wouldn't want to take a chance on him. Yet if it came down to him or Rivera, at least Whisenhunt knows what it's like to be a winner, and he is offensive minded. Give me Ken over Rivera.
