Rivera will be back

How many seasons have Norv Turner finished strong and lead to optimism about next year. Do we really want that here in Carolina?

again, it's entirely contingent on the new GM

I hope it is. I hope Richardson doesn't try to push the new GM into giving Rivera another year. If he does, the list of candidates probably shrinks immediately. No good candidate is gonna take the job if he's being pressured by the owner to keep the coach.

Chud is not going to get canned as long as Rivera is there.

If the new GM decides to retain Rivera, he could certainly insist it be with the caveat that Chud goes down the road.

This isn't the Raiders, we dont' give up on improving coaches in just 2 years of his first years as a Head Coach at any level. You may think they will be trying to get a GM that wants a new coach, but consider they may just want a GM that reflects Rivera wishes for personel(ie not having 30 LBs and RBs).

I don't understand where you're coming from.

Time and time again he has proven that he's terrible in late game, close score situations. That's where coaches truly earn their checks. Rivera has repeatedly failed in those situations.

    • At first I didn't like the guy but he put his money where his mouth is. Gave a ton to Charity and really backed up his talk of trying to makechange. If he continues on his charitable ways thru out his NFL career I hope he stays in the NFL for years to come.
