I will remain undecided until the year's end.

We all know he has a hard time managing close games but its not like we have a totally incompetent coach on our hands. Also, the way the team teases us with greatness is eerily similar to the Chargers before half the staff and team got up and left for Charlotte. I just don't know, but it's obvious he's struggled and is more of a great defensive coach.

The thing is, if we keep him, I think that should pretty much mandate a playoff year in 2013 or he's definitely gone. There would be absolutely no excuses. That gives him and the team that still is quite behind the guy a lot of juice next year. So it's either we kick ass in 2013 like we've done the past 2 games or he's gone. The risk of keeping him is around the same as getting a guy with NFL HC experience imo to come in and implement a brand new system. I'm not saying "yay! keep him" but its a toss up right now. I just hate how much like the Chargers we feel like haha.

Im more concerned with Chud than Rivera. Even with these changes he's made, he's still shady at red zone play calls and in crucial situations. Just like he was last season. On a lot of those kinds of calls, Cam has bailed him out.

Not trying to sound snobby, but I work in a college football office so I do have a pretty good idea of what it takes to run a football team.

"working in a college football office" is a pretty ambiguous way of saying you vacuum the floors after hours at a college football office

Thus far he's done a fairly good job, and to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if J.R. gave him the job because he would definitely be cheaper than most and definitely cheaper than Ross.

Well I have to agree that as the price goes down the quality generally goes up.

Quality Control Coach, you know like Scott Turner.

Regardless, Rivera has actually shown some improvements this year.

I feel like people forget this is Rivera's FIRST ever job as a head coach, it will/should take him at least three years to understand all of what a head coaching job entails.

how have people still not noticed that this is the same sh*t as last year?? we win a bunch of meaningless games down the stretch and deem it as some "hope for the future" BS... gantt said it perfectly, this guy is fool's gold, hes the matt moore of coaches.. when we start off 1-4 again next year with this guy youll all realize..

so basically you're in an entry level position and you think that makes your opinion hold more weight

next time I go to a restaurant I'm going to ask the bus boy where i can find the best food in Manhattan then

This fan base just fiercely clings to the mediocrity it has become used to witnessing for so long.

Two consecutive wins since what, December last year? Now we are practically building Rivera a statue.
