finally cracked the top 10. it took a while, but this defense is playing pretty good now considering all the injuries we have had. beason out, gamble out, nakamura out, james anderson out the last 2 games, ron edwards out. and playing a bunch of nobodies at corner, and 4th and 5th safeties on the depth chart.10th against the pass, 17th against the run

I predicted we would have a top 10 defense this year. I also predicted we would be 11-5.

year 1 top 10 offense
year 2 top 10 defense

Has to be a year 3 right?

Having to purge the old with the new..but new GMs just do not usually keep incumbent coaches with moderate success and definitely not with 2 losing season. Not fair but a reality.

It's not like we're the only team that plays these teams.

Kudos to the players and coaches.Even better some of these guys like J Thomas, DJ Campbell are showing they may be starters which would mean draft picks can be used on offense

wheres that guy that kept on bringing up my prediction that we'd have a top 15 and possible top 10 defense this year as an example of my being an idiot?

lots of reasons that i can be considered an idiot, but i would say this isn't one of them.

Good NFL teams lose to "nobodies" all the time.

The Chargers beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh last week.

The team with the best record in the league lost to the Panthers last week.

In the NFL, you'd better play well against the bad teams, or they will upset you.

This is cumulative season long stat right? Are you trying to say we have played nobodies all season??

Even though our records don't reflect it I think the NFC South is among the best divisions in the NFL. Maybe I am a homer, but getting a win against Tampa, ATL, or NO is an achievement and none are a gimme.

Then throw in this brutal non-divisional games,

SEA, Den, Dallas, NYG, Redskins, Chicago.

Looking at our schedule we only have played maybe three bad teams. KC (how the fug did we lose to those ass clowns), Philly, and San Diego. We have one more scrubby team left, OAK.

So 12 of our 16 games were against what I would consider quality opponents.

Now compare that to the Colts 9 wins

GB- good win, good team, but at home, after BYE
Minny- quality win
Cleveland- terrible
Tennessee x 2- terrible
Miami- terrible
Jacksonville- terrible
Buffalo- terrible
Detroit- not a good team this year

Not to mention they have losses to terrible teams like the Jets and the Jags.

They also have another game with KC on their schedule.

I am not faulting the Cotls they have to play the teams that are scheduled, but hotdamn who do you have to give a hand job to to get a schedule like that.

Wow!!! I don't know what's different or been different for the past couple of weeks, but we've played much better in all phases of the game, without certain starters. Things to make you go hmmmmm.

Top 10 special teams next year yeah buddy!!!!!

I swear we should just worry about both o and d sucking next year because it's always the side we worry about in the offseason that shows up next season.

The defense changed when Beason was removed and Kuechly went inside.

We're also playing a bunch of nobodies in our secondary, and they've been pretty decent the last 2 weeks against good quarterbacks.

Too bad KT hasn't found this thread and proclaimed it as blasphemy against the one man show.

Yeah, that is why I get tired of snitches acting like Nostradamus because they said the Colts were going to make the playoffs. I was like if they are competent at all, they will make the playoffs because that weak ass division. If that is the base for your schedule every year, you always have a chance. We have the most competetive division in football. You have to come out swinging.
