I wouldn't bet on it.

If we were just going to keep doing everything the same as always, Ernie Accorsi never would have been hired.

Add in that Danny Morrison has some influence with Richardson. I doubt he'd just stand by while an expensive consultant was ignored.

Also worth considering that if Beane were going to get the job, they'd just do it right now. The fact that they aren't tells me they won't.

Gettleman would be my choice, but if I were betting, it'd be on Ross.

It isn't impossible and I have been critical of JR on different things, but I can't see him being that dumb.

Yasinkas is throwing sh*t against the wall, if you want to believe him by all means go ahead.

As Mr. Scot pointed out, if Beane is the choice why wait? Why waste time and resources hiring Acorsi?

Does anyone know what Beane did prior to being the interim? Does he have contract negotion experience, scouting experience, cutting players, addimg players? I would be highly disappointed if Beane was it

He has no prior experience in any of that.

That's a big reason why nobody takes the idea seriously.

The Charlotte Observer's article made it sound like that Beane had been helping out Marty with pretty much everything and was expecting to get the GM job when Marty retired.

Beane, the team’s director of football operations, had been Hurney’s right-hand man for several years.
“My goal would have been for us to win the Super Bowl and at some point Marty retire. But in life things rarely work out as planned,” Beane said Friday. “For all Marty’s done for me, this is not the way I would have liked the responsibility. But at the same time, you have to come in here and make the most of it.”

For him (Beane) to say that in an interview that was being published, I'd say that was the original plan. There's no telling if Beane really does or doesn't have experience handling those roles.

Like I said in another post I don't expect it to happen, but I wouldn't be shocked by it though.
